Mental Health Assessment & Counselling

Youth & Adolescent Mental Health Support
Support may include mindfulness, self-compassion, values-based goal setting, and collaborative care with families or schools to ensure consistent support across environments.
Chronic Pain Treatment
Our Occupational Therapists provide personalized care using a range of evidence-based strategies, either independently or in collaboration with other members of the care team, including:
- Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE) to shift how pain is understood and experienced
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support values-based living despite pain
- Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET) to address unresolved emotional contributors
- Mindful Self-Compassion practices to reduce suffering and build resilience
- Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) to retrain the brain’s response to pain signals
Treatment may also include pacing techniques, activity modification, relaxation strategies, and support with emotional regulation and goal setting.

Sport & Performance Counselling
We support athletes and performers in strengthening their mental game to enhance focus, confidence, and resilience—on and off the field. Whether you’re managing performance anxiety, recovering from injury, or navigating the pressures of competition, our approach helps you build mental skills that support both performance and well-being.

Our approach to weight management goes beyond numbers on a scale. We offer compassionate, individualized support that helps you understand the emotional, behavioural, and lifestyle patterns influencing your health and wellbeing. Together, we explore your relationship with food, movement, and body image—without judgment or quick fixes.

He delivers decision‑ready reports and coordinates tightly with Pure's multidisciplinary team to translate recommendations into results. Clinically, he focuses on mental performance, resilience, and sleep/recovery, drawing on experience with elite sport, including the Winnipeg Jets and Project 11. Patients can expect compassionate, practical care; employers can expect clear guidance that supports safe, sustainable return to work.

Dr. Marcoux strongly believes in the importance of assessing our mental operations as it directly impacts how we think, feel, and act. Sleep
As sleep is one of the most powerful regulators of psychological health, Dr. Marcoux pursued additional training in sleep interventions and has particular interest in helping improve individuals' quality of sleep, restoration and wakefulness. Dr. Marcoux is able to offer comprehensive sleep assessments and tailored sleep interventions to those who suffer from sleep disruption/fatigue related to their medical condition(s).

With 27 years of experience, she specializes in providing evidence based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, and families dealing with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, grief and loss, self esteem and confidence building, child and adolescent counselling, behavioural and parenting support, neurodivergent strengths and challenges, and stress management.
Tara has a Master of Education Counselling Psychology (MEd) from the University of Manitoba and is a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and trauma informed practices, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs and goals of the client.

She believes in optimizing each person’s existing strengths while collaborating to build new skills and achieve goals that feel meaningful and attainable.
Currently working in Interventional Psychiatry, Madison provides specialized care to individuals experiencing complex mental health concerns. Her background includes experience in inpatient psychiatry, community addictions support, emergency psychiatry, and crisis intervention. These diverse clinical settings have shaped her ability to respond with adaptability and clinical precision while maintaining a grounded and compassionate presence. She works closely with clients to develop practical, individualized strategies that promote resilience, stability, and long-term growth.
Madison chose to pursue a career in mental health out of a passion for the impact mental wellness has on overall functioning and quality of life. She believes strongly in the integration of mental and physical health models, recognizing that true healing requires a holistic understanding of the person as a whole. Through collaboration, compassion, and thoughtful care, she strives to empower clients to move forward with confidence and renewed self-efficacy.
Outside of work, Madison enjoys spending time with family and friends. An open Saturday morning is best spent attending a group fitness class before grabbing a coffee with a friend.
