Sport Medicine
Focusing on the treatment and prevention of injuries related to sports and exercise, our Primary Care Sport and Musculoskeletal Physicians works in collaboration with our own team of physiotherapists, massage therapists, dieticians, and kinesiologists.
With additional training in neuro-musculoskeletal injuries they are well equipped to help you with your activity-related injuries.
Minor Surgeries
Our minor surgical physician offers services such as excision and biopsy to remove or rule out carcinoma, lesion or foreign body, nail removal, inflamed dermal and epidermal cysts, in addition to being trained in the use of fillers and laser therapy.
X-Ray
We understand the importance of timely diagnoses. Our in-house X-Ray capabilities help us to prioritize prompt scheduling, offer quick turnaround times for results, and seamless coordination with our team of highly skilled healthcare providers.
Dermatology
Our family physician with a specialized focus in dermatology, provides a range of assessments to address skin conditions such as:

Dr. Elgazzar’s clinical interests encompass both primary care and the comprehensive management of musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. He is dedicated to a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, and at our clinic this includes seamless follow-up care with in-house allied health professionals — a model that reflects his and Pure’s commitment to comprehensive patient care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Elgazzar maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys running, strength training, and spending time outdoors. He values quality time with his partner, family, and friends, and has a passion for cooking and traveling.

In addition to training and previously practicing as a physiotherapist, Dr. Burron completed Occupational Medicine training through the University of Alberta (Foundation Course Occupational Medicine Part A and B) and completed the examination for Associate status with the Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine (ACBOM). Dr. Burron is a Certified Independent Medical Examiner (CIME) through the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME). Dr. Burron is a medical consultant for the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba and has provided Non-Treating (independent) medical exams and overseen rehabilitation programing for Manitoba Public Insurance, Manitoba Teachers Society, Health Employee Benefits Branch. Sports Medicine PhysicianDr. Katz is a locally trained physician, specializing in sport and exercise medicine. He completed his medical school training at the University of Manitoba in 2015. After completing his family medicine training at the University of Manitoba, Dr. Katz went onto obtain a certificate of added competence in sport and exercise medicine from the University of Manitoba and Legacy Sport Medicine Clinic.
Dr. Katz currently is employed at Pure Lifestyle, Legacy Sport Medicine and Pine Falls Primary Health Clinic where he focuses on patient with common musculoskeletal conditions such as rotator cuff disease and osteoarthritis. He also is one of the consulting physicians for FC Valour of the Canadian Premier League.

He subsequently completed his Family Medicine residency in the Rural Manitoba program based in Portage la Prairie, before pursuing advanced training in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in Regina.
Dr. Elgazzar's clinical interests encompass both primary care and the comprehensive management of musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. He is dedicated to a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, working closely with allied health professionals to ensure his patients receive holistic and coordinated care. He emphasizes prevention, patient education, and early intervention to help individuals achieve and maintain optimal health, mobility, and performance. A key area of Dr. Elgazzar's practice is the integration of musculoskeletal ultrasound for both diagnosis and image-guided procedures, enhancing the precision and effectiveness of patient care.

Emergency and Family Medicine Physician, Minor Injury and Illness Clinic LeadBorn and raised in Winnipeg, Dr. Scott McLeod Arnould completed his medical degree and Family Medicine residency at the University of Manitoba, followed by advanced training in Emergency Medicine through the CCFP-EM program. He has since spent the past five years practicing in the emergency departments at Seven Oaks Hospital and the Grace Hospital, gaining extensive experience in managing a wide range of urgent medical concerns.
At Pure Medical, Dr. Scott leads the Minor Injury and Illness Clinic, offering same-day or next-day access for non-life-threatening concerns. The clinic provides a comprehensive range of in-house services — including X-ray, casting, wound repair, point-of-care ultrasound, EKG and stress testing, spirometry, and minor surgical procedures. Patients also benefit from seamless access to allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and mental health counsellors, ensuring coordinated and holistic care.

Family Medicine PhysicianDr. Katrice Kazmerik graduated from Biosystems Engineering at the University of Manitoba in 2014 completing a biomedical specialization, then going on to pursue medicine. She completed both medical school and a Family Medicine residency in Winnipeg and included placements in northern Manitoba, Nova Scotia and a medical mission to the Philippines. She has incorporated an Integrative Medicine in Residency program remotely through the University of Arizona, Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine to further appreciate the breadth of medicine. Dr. Kazmerik enjoys working with patients of all ages, and has particular interest in women’s health and geriatric care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Kazmerik prioritizes spending time with family and friends, and is often outdoors enjoying the lake, fishing, running, swimming or skiing in the winter time.

Physician, Minor SurgeriesDr. Du Preez was born in Zimbabwe. At age 16, his family immigrated to South Africa, enabling him to pursue his passion of becoming a medical doctor. He joined the South African military, through whom he completed his degree in medicine and surgery at the University of Pretoria in 1990.
During his 11 years in the military, Dr. Du Preez trained and worked in both general and plastic and reconstructive surgery, obtaining the rank of Major. Later, he spent 5 years in private practice as a family physician, continuing his work in general and plastic surgery. He also worked in emergency medicine and addictions medicine through SANCA (South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence).
In 1999 he immigrated with his family to Canada to provide them with better opportunities. He started working as an ER physician in Selkirk Hospital -- a position he holds to this day. As a flight physician and Provincial Air Ambulance Medical Director with the Lifeflight Air Ambulance program, he provided critical care to remote Indigenous communities in northern Manitoba for almost 20 years until the program ended in December 2020.
Dr. Du Preez is thankful for the many learning experiences and opportunities afforded him through his career. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and expertise with paramedics, medical residents and international medical graduates. Dr. Du Preez is a founding member of the Department of Emergency Medicine at University of Manitoba and remains a member of the faculty. Since 2016, he has served as medical advisor for the Paramedic Program at Red River College.
Dr. Du Preez leads a minor surgical procedure clinic that focuses on providing an aesthetic result, whether dealing with cancers on the face, or lesions on the body. He is also trained in the use of fillers and laser therapy.
Dr. Du Preez enjoys an active lifestyle. He has competed in the Manitoba Half Marathon, and participates in both sprint triathlons and golf.

Psychiatrist performing only Independent RTW ExamsDr. Saligheh graduated from medical school in Tehran, Iran, and completed postgraduate training in psychiatry at the University of Manitoba. After graduation in 2016, she practiced as an inpatient psychiatrist at Selkirk Mental Health Centre and St. Boniface hospital. Her outpatient practice focused on Women’s mental health.
Since 2019, Dr. Saligheh has been practicing at the Canadian Armed Forces, providing psychiatric consultation and follow up for active military members. She developed an interest in occupational medicine and has completed a medicolegal course facilitated by University of Montreal. Dr. Saligheh further pursued her interest in occupational medicine at the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba, serving as a psychiatric consultant since 2020.
Dr. Saligheh's other areas of interest include women's mental health, trauma related disorders, and addictions. She obtained a diploma in addiction treatment through University of British Columbia and has participated in opioid replacement therapy workshop through University of Manitoba.

Sleep
As sleep is one of the most powerful regulators of psychological health, Dr. Marcoux pursued additional training in sleep interventions and has particular interest in helping improve individuals' quality of sleep, restoration and wakefulness. Dr. Marcoux is able to offer comprehensive sleep assessments and tailored sleep interventions to those who suffer from sleep disruption/fatigue related to their medical condition(s).
