Same Day or Next Day Appointments with an E.R. Physician
Experience hassle-free, quality care for both children and adults at our Minor Injury Clinic. We specialize in treating non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries with the convenience of scheduled appointments.
Quick, Compassionate Care for Life’s Minor Setbacks.
Not every unexpected illness or injury requires a visit to the emergency room. Many minor health issues can be handled at a minor injury clinic like ours. These include minor cuts and burns, rashes, localized infections, sore throats, earaches, fevers in immunized children over 3 months, minor fractures, sprains, mild dehydration, colds, and flus.
For life-threatening conditions or injuries, call 911 or visit the nearest Hospital Emergency Department.
Minor Injury & Illness Clinic same-day or next day appointments available.
Now open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Online medical bookings may be made for existing patients or for walk-in minor illness & injury only.
Collaborative Healthcare
If you require follow-up care for your injury, our physicians work in collaboration with our own team of physiotherapists, massage therapists, dietitians and kinesiologists to treat and prevent future injury.
X-Ray
We understand the importance of timely diagnoses. Our in-house X-Ray capabilities help us to prioritize prompt scheduling, offer quick turnaround times for results, and seamless coordination with our team of highly skilled healthcare providers.Â
Casting & Splinting
We offer on-site casting and splinting for minor sprains and fractures, as well as crutches for purchase should they be required.
Abrasions, Cuts and Burns
We can treat most minor injuries to the skin and soft tissue by providing:
- Suturing (stitches) for minor cuts
- Skin adhesive (glue) for minor cuts
- Dressings for minor cuts, abrasions and burns
Throat Swabs
We can provide Rapid-Strep tests for patients with sore throats, and offer results within minutes.
Urine Tests
We can provide results to common urine tests such as to detect infection, kidney problems and pregnancy, on the same visit. Other tests such as drug screening or bacterial cultures need to be referred out and the results usually take a few business days.
EKGS
We can perform EKGs if required. All EKGs will be reviewed first by one of our clinicians and then will be reviewed later by a second clinician who specializes in EKG interpretation.

FAQ
Do I need an appointment, or can I simply show up?
Please book online or call ahead for our minor injury clinic. We have same-day or next-day appointments available most days.
Is this a private clinic or can anyone make an appointment?
- The clinic is privately run, but publicly funded
- Anyone can attend the Pure Lifestyle Minor Injury Clinic. Â All you need is a valid Manitoba Health card, like you would at any public health institution, like an Emergency Room or Urgent Care.
Is there a fee for appointments or are they covered by Manitoba Health?
- If you don’t have a Manitoba Health card, but you are from another Canadian province that shares a reciprocal agreement with Manitoba, then you are covered by presenting your province’s health card.
- If you don’t have a Manitoba Health card, and you come from Quebec (which doesn’t have a reciprocal health agreement with Manitoba) or internationally (US, etc) then you will have to pay for your visit, even if you have travel insurance.
- Follow-up allied health treatments such as physiotherapy and massage are not covered by Manitoba Health, but may be covered by your private health insurance.
Do you provide routine physicals?
No, our minor injury and illness appointments are not for physical examinations. We do offer Family Medicine at our clinic. If you would like to be added to our waitlist for one of our family physicians, please call.
What is collaborative healthcare?
Collaborative healthcare is when multiple healthcare providers work together alongside their patients to provide high quality care and improve the patients’ health.
If you require follow-up care for your injury, our physicians work in collaboration with our own team of physiotherapists, massage therapists, dietitians and kinesiologists to treat and prevent future injury. Â
